Just found out what my parents' song is.
Hey, look at the sun
It's finally shining on my life
And it's all because of you.
Wala lang ^-^

Everybody seems to be posting about their Milenyo experience so what the heck?
Thursday, Day 1
Woke up at around 8am. The typhoon hit our house at around 10am. We lost power at around 10:30. Three windows broke, including one in my room. My right middle finger now sports a lovely gash where I got cut by the broken glass when we were covering up my window with plastic.
My dad comes home in a rush at around lunchtime. His office also lost power and his building didn't have a generator. Problem is, he runs a medical transcription company. Patay. He borrows my and my brother's laptops and he and 2 transcriptionists take refuge in my tita's office (they had a generator), where they work out of the conference room. He comes home at around 11pm.
To stave off boredom, we broke out the Monopoly set. The future capitalist AKA my little sister won handily. She had a monopoly of the greens :p Also got to read a big part of Bloodlines before it got too dark. Very interesting and heartbreaking book.
Landlines rock.
Friday, Day 2
Still no power. Dammit. At least we still had some water. We lost our landline. Sweet. Was able to do some Jap10 homework. Dad got our laptops again. With the loss of the landline, I resorted to texting and calling people on their cellphones to keep myself from going nuts. Then my phone died. Argghhh.
Didn't get to attend the SWP trooping in Intercon. Sigh :( Why is it that my mother always says "Bahala ka!" when she really means "No! But I want the "no" to come from you"? I take the "Bahala ka!" at face value then she gets all prissy when I decide to still go through with it.
One surefire way to drive me insane: lock me in a totally quiet room. Pramis. I cannot stand absolute quiet. I can sleep better during a rock concert than in a totally quiet room.
Saturday, Day 3
Still no power. Pakshet. Went to my uncle's house in Alabang to bathe and have lunch as they had both electricity and running water. Life is so unfair. Went back home, left to watch Ateneo vs UST game 2 in Araneta. I wore my treasured autographed Magnum Membrere jersey for the occasion XD Got caught up in Makati traffic but made it in time for the awarding. Congrats to Marvin Cruz (point guard, Mythical 5) and Woody Co (Rookie of the Year)!!! ^-^ They were seated so close to us. I wanted to get their autographs but I didn't have any paper with me :( Darn.
Ateneo lost. Big. Sigh. Had dinner in Pizza Hut Bistro. Wouldn't have ordered soda if I knew they didn't have ice.
Our landline came back at around 7pm. Finally got water delivered to our house at around 12mn.
Didn't get to attend the SWP trooping in Rob Galleria. If I knew beforehand that the MRT was already working and that the game would start late, I would have attended :( Sigh.
Long talks are lifesavers.
Had trouble sleeping because it was so hot.
Sunday, Day 4
STILL no power. What the hell?! Woke up at 9am with my shirt plastered to my back. Gaah. So hot. No breeze. Had lunch in my aunt's house for my cousin's birthday. Finally got to catch up with cousins I haven't seen in a long time.
Our power came back at around 6pm. Huzzah! Now I have labreps, 2 oral presentations, and 3 long exams to look forward to. Oh joy.
