"Laura!" She said, moving as fast as she could over to an old friend she hadn't seen for a while.
Laura was happy to see her and she bounced over for a hug, cooing over Rebeccas rapidly expanding stomach and comisserating over the fact that she wasn't going to be in the country to see the birth in a few months. She insisted on photographs and Rebecca complied, still slightly uneasy about being caught on film, but happy to be around her friend again.
After catching up, she helped with the clean up for a while and was carrying a couple of packs when Henry came round the corner.
"Henry!" She called, smiling at him and beckoning him over with a wave of her elbow.

"Hello, Rebecca." He didn't visit her work place often enough to be comfortable in its surroundings. It was just so very her world that it made him a little bit stiff. He walked over to her and kissed her cheek, lightly. "How have you been today? Are you feeling well?"

"You didn't. I'm early because I worked too hard and therefore embarrassed my colleagues. Or that's how the dean explained it. Are you done for today as well? We have an appointment at the gynecologist tonight, you remember that, don't you? I want someone to assure everything is going ..as it should go."

"I didn't forget." She said, nodding. She didn't think there was anything wrong and the scan was going to be nice and normal, but it would set both their minds at rest.
