Of course Rebecca had gone and went back to working again. First of all they couldn't handle it financially, her staying at home for nine months, second, she wouldn't be able to handle it mentally, being cooped up in the apartment for nine months.
Henry had tried to plead with her, offer him working more and her working less, asking for financial aid from his parents or even friends (he was sure Jean would be fine helping out. Maybe they could even ask Abe to create some money?), but her opinion had stayed unchanged.
Henry had demanded that she would go home whenever she'd feel tired or sick and that she'd call him, no matter what or when. And that he'd pick her up whenever he was early, so she wouldn't have to drive a car (that had been an issue).
Today, Henry was early, had warned Rebecca in advance of him visiting, and tried to not show his eagerness at the thought of seeing his pregnant wife soon. She was large for three months, but the words 'twins' or 'multiples' had yet to be managed. There was health, and that was most important right now.
