I heard Miyavi's new single today.
I heartily approve. I'd like to hear him do more stuff in the style of Miyaviuta ~dokusou~ eventually, but I love this stuff with the record-scratches and everything. It's like his older, more poppish-sounding style, except with a bunch of awesomeness added in!
He still needs someone else to start dressing him, though, because holy shit, what the fuck is with the spider on his face? And the pastel clothes? Miyavi's got Bjork syndrome. The symptoms are awesomeness, musical talent, creativity, tendency to collaborate with artists of vastly different musical genres than one's own, eccentricity, and sex appeal, all of which are completely overshadowed by one's ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS taste in clothing.
Maybe if I write a thesis paper on it, I'll get a research grant that will pay for me to stalk Bjork and Miyavi... to observe their behavior in their natural habitats, of course.
