So yeah, here's a little update: I've given notice at my job (partly because it's been coming for a while, but mostly because some promises were broken regarding reducing my days at work so that I could get some comic stuff done...it's bad enough that my boss makes promises he can't keep to customers, but I can't take it myself...really no hard feelings, but it underlined why I had to end my time there)
Now I'm at a scary point in life where I don't totally know what I'm going to do. Part of me wants to get into graphic design type stuff and I will be taking a class on Indesign to test the waters. I also just got back from a PDP Info Session at a university that's WAY closer to the one I went to and a much faster commute than what I've been doing to get to work. Teaching might be fun and was my back up plan all through school in case comics didn't work out (and why would they have, I haven't really tried!)
So for the next little while, after I wrap up my time in the woodshop, I'll be in school one night a week and getting Champion and Bullet taken care of. Some time in October, I'll hopefully be volunteering at a highschool to really test the waters in a teaching environment maybe by then hear back from the community centre regarding a class on comic creating that I've proposed.
Hopefully everything will be on course in time to start making babies ;)
So that's that...I'm on my third page inking the Bullet submission and Champion pencils are coming in regularly, so I should be able to jump into that once this package is done.
And because maybe one or two people who read my journal won't know about this, Benito and Nate have put together another Hector Plasm book that I'm sure will be awesome, so check that out!!!
