Congratulations are in Order!
Firstly, my old house--my piece of shit, but I had good intentions old house--has finally achieved its potential! That is, my sister and her husband bought me out of the house, fixed it up, and now it looks amazing. Congratulations, Nicole!
Secondly, my sister is (and please do not kill me for doing this but I am so very happy for you!) pregnant!!!
New house, new baby? Oh man, I am so excited I can hardly contain myself this morning!
This is what the house used to look like.
This is what it looks like now, give or take. Notice that the mailbox is still the same! ROFL.
It went from a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom converted cape (the second bedroom and second bathroom were on the second floor in a separate entrance apartment) to a 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath house with a state-of-the-art country kitchen, a master bathroom, hardwood floors, a loft, a family room, a living room, a waterproof basement (it used to get tons of water), and pretty landscaping. The house was really in dire straits when they bought it. I had always intended to fix it up, much like you see here, but when I took ill it became difficult. My sister and her husband, though--they went all out. They moved out for four months and approved every last detail. It's beautiful, Nic. Congratulations, again!
