Yay a Post!

So I think we all know how exceptionally lame I am about updating LJ consistently. So I'll try to remedy that with an incredibly long rambling post about a variety of subjects ( Read more... )

I so very badly wanted to go to the luncheon, but unfortunately I have to work today through Tuesday.

I'm glad you had a good trip and hope to see you soon.

:( Yeah Matt said you had to work. :P! I need to seriously call and tell them they need to clear your schedule with me first to make sure it doesn't conflict with important harry potter related events! ;)

Thanks very much for the headband with the rock awesome pom poms :) and the book! I haven't looked at the site yet... Matt said there was something about it.. like a trade? I'll check that out today. I just love that it declares itself a Special Book. Hehe.

You are the third person to get that book, and I am sure that you will find some way to pass it on. Renee actually told me about Bookcrossing at least a year ago, and I finally got into it about a month or so ago. The entire time I read Blitzcat though, I thought of Chade and all the things she would likely do to find you, and feel like you are perfect to get that book next. Sometimes people take the books out and just leave them some place in public. It is a really great idea (although it doesn't feel like a lot of people release them around here). You can also browse books somehow and request to make trades with other people ( ... )

Wow! And I thought I was wordy! You are a superior blogger. *bows to floor* I am not worthy. Okay, enough silliness. *giggles*

What is 'lefsa?' You probably know by now that I love to cook. The campfire Mocha sounds fantastic! You should try mocha with a generous dollop of cool-whip and fresh ground nutmeg sprinkled on top. (Got that recipe from a Steven King book-lol).

Sounds like you guys really know how to have fun. We just sit around and talk. That race track is awesome! And your necklace looks like the one I got for Allana for Christmas.

I have the Midnight in the Garden...book. I've not read it yet. Did you finish it?

I guess I don't explore the HP-Ohio boards thoroughly enough. This is the first I've heard of the luncheon. I'm planning on attending the game night in Columbus with a friend though (the one I told you about that just got turned on to HP). She has to finish books 5 & 6 first though.

Yeah because I'm lazy I end up posting very long "month long" synopsis instead of daily or weekly updates :) I'll get back in the habit... I swear ( ... )

Lefsa looks different but good. Thanks for the link. Maybe on my next Jungle Jim's run, I'll pick some up.

Midnight was VERY slow at the beginning. I think that's what turned me off and why I put it away. I like faced paced books. Let me know when your finished if it's worth struggling through the beginning.

Ah...no problem. I should be more thorough in my exploration. Was the luncheon fun?

Ha, soon, that's funny. I'm about the 3rd to last to pin on next year - DoR is 27 Dec 07. So the drinks might have to wait a bit ;) Of course that's all pending that I make it through the Force Shaping Board in March - if so we'll all celebrate at PR (you are going to PR aren't you??)

I'm just debating about whether I want to sign everything "Capt (Select)" for the next year... I'm sure it will piss off folks, but it would be quiet amusing for me. Seriously, the O5s and O6s all use "select" for years before their line numbers are up...
