im really sick of the news. what a bunch of sensationalist shit. every fucking day i hear of a fire at some house or apartment, shooting in a shady part of downtown, an abuse or burglary, every fucking day. when its such a common occurence it really isnt news. what the hell do i care about someone whos house burned down two cities away. or someone that got into an accident, or some fucking vandals. it dosent effect me in the least, nor 99.9999% of anyone else who is watching.
occasionally, and i really mean rarely there will be a story that has actually some significance. a giant disaster, environmental issues, revolution, whatever. and even then those topics eventually get far too over done.
medical news, new studies show chocolate is bad for you, oh wait now its good, oh but no so much, oh wait we were wrong again. just fucking stop, unless you have a total cure for AIDS or something.
a dumb pretty popular suburban white girls getting raped or gone missing. make a mention or something then move on. i dont want to hear the details the next day and day after about breaking new developments about what might of actually happened. i really dont care about her or whoever the fuck.
that shooting in capitol hill. its done, people are dead, they will be buried and then forgotten by most everyone but the family and friends. just stop. stop exploiting it with the horrifying 911 calls and emotional memorials. some of those people were probably jerks anyway.
and the obvious pety competition between the stations. "A story you will see ONLY here". "We were the FIRST to get it" "They interviewed with US". You can tell whats first on these reporters minds. i really hope they dont take their jobs seriously.
