Watched AI boys last night. I love the 70s theme- so many great songs to choose from!
I won't go through each performance, but I loved...
David Archuleta: no surprise here, but his version of "Imagine" was really good.
David Cook: the true rocker (not like Robbie Carrico who, despite having a better performance this week, still didn't have the true grit of a rocker). He's cute too
David Hernandez: good over-all performance, although his voice broke on the last note. But I loved the song and his energy, even the band enjoyed playing it
Chikezie - another good performance, WAY better than last week. The band was having fun with this song as well. He looked so comfortable onstage, and it was so apparent that he loved his song choice, so he did a good job.
I particularly didn't like...
Luke Menard- what the hell was he singing? I didn't get it.
Jason Yeager- It was really painful watching him, as in literally painful. I was cringing the whole time. He danced weird, and his song was blah. But it was really mean the way Ryan was prolonging his agony, interviewing him at the end of his performance and really digging on how he felt about the judges' comments.
The rest were just so-so (yes, that includes Michael Johns, whose voice STILL does not sit well with me. It honestly sounds strained...).
And I have to say this, I agreed with Simon 99% of the time last night.
I'm thinking that Jason Yeager and Luke will be out this week, or maybe Robbie.
I am definitely watching the girls tonight!
