Just got back from a Historical Fiction session at the Johnson Co. (KS) library. It was really interesting and we got to watch most of a recorded webcast with Philippa Gregory. She was talking about her writing process, her research, her subjects, The Other Boleyn Girl and dozens of other subjects. If anyone wants to watch it, it last about 90 minutes, check out www.philippagregorylive.com
Also, has anyone read Interred With Their Bones by Jennifer Lee Carrell or The Reincarnationist by MJ Rose? I picked both of those up today. I'm reading Bridge of Sighs by Richard Russo, thanks to RSL. I'd looked at it a few months ago (since I went to Italy last year I seem to be attracted to anything that takes place there) but didn't read it until RSL mentioned it in an interview. I figure if I read it as well he and I will have something to talk about when we meet. I guess we could talk about turkey burgers and shredded wheat but this might be more fun. ;)
