She was going to stay with Logan. He’d invited her to stay. True, she would be running his errands (again) and packing up his room for him, but he wouldn’t have asked her to do this unless he trusted her, unless he really did want her to be there.
After all, he was letting her go through all of his private stuff.
Jubilee lugged an extra suitcase that she had totally swiped from someone else in the mansion (she would have borrowed one of Frosty’s, but she had promised Cyke that she would be nice, and since he was apparently hanging out with Wolvie these days she should probably stay on his good side, at least for now) into Wolverine’s room. It was fairly empty already. Jubilee wasn’t sure what sort of stuff he would want, but she pretty much decided it would be easiest to just dump everything into the suitcase that would fit.
Although, as she surveyed the room, she should probably get a trash can first. There were beer cans all over the place. She knew the man had a healing factor, but Jesus, Wolvie, how many beers could you drink?
She didn’t know why he needed so many flannel shirts. Maybe she could take him shopping. She was, after all, a mall-rat extraordinaire. Someone needed to convince the man to update his fashion sense, and she was just the girl to do it. And it wasn’t like he cared about his clothes that much - they were strewn all over the room without care. Jubilee highly doubted that he’d even heard of folding them. She rolled her eyes. No wonder he’d sent her to do this - he was totally helpless without her.
And that led her to the plan - she needed to set him up with someone. Someone who was good at this organizing stuff, who would make him take care of himself. She couldn’t do everything for him.
Well, they were going to be staying at Warren’s. Maybe featherhead would have some sort of suggestions. That didn’t involve people who were already dead and/or taken. Or someone her age. Ugh. She would ask Cyke, but she doubted he knew the sort of things that Wolvie would like.
She had finally packed up most of his stuff when she decided to raid the dresser. She was curious as to what sort of stuff was in there anyway. She loved Wolverine, really, but he wasn’t the most public person in the world. Opening the drawer, she raised an eyebrow. A gun. Lying in the bottom of the drawer, face down, was a picture of Scott and Jean. Jubilee shook her head. She’d really hoped that he was over that. She ran a finger over the image of Jean. She really missed her. It just wasn’t fair.
She packed the photograph carefully in the suitcase, and then reached into the very back of the drawer. She found a videocassette and a thing of… lube.
She rolled her eyes. It wasn’t like she should be surprised. She tossed the lube into the suitcase and slammed it shut. As for the video… well, at least she had something to watch tonight!
She dragged the suitcase out of the room, slamming the door behind her. Tomorrow she would be back with Wolverine. Back where she belonged.
