Unfortunately I'm not doing as well on the fitness side of things without the trainer. I've gained about six pounds in the past couple of months and it isn't from lean muscle. Genshiken is one of the better new anime series I've seen in a while. When the industry is pushing a lot of cliche anime what better way to cash in than to have a series that begs to have cliches. I lost 4 lbs. this month which wouldn't be so bad except that I'm trying to gain weight through muscle mass. My body fact percentage dropped a whole percent putting me under 20%. Woot ( Read more... )

All this exercise has finally affected my cholesterol! My overall cholesterol six months ago was 95. Now it's 81. My HDLs actually dropped 14 points. o.O ?!?

The nurse who called recommended that I could raise my HDLs by exercising more. :-D

I managed to meet my protein goal (25-30%) last weekend eating plenty of lean meat and dairy products. I was worried that I'd have to supplement my diet with icky protein drinks and/or protein bars. My trainer says many of the people that start the muscle-building program actually look forward to the protein supplements. o.O

Today was my one year anniversary at the gym. Wow that's a long time! o.O So this means it was time again for measurements. I lost 6 lbs. last month which means that I passed my goal of losing 100 lbs. from my peak weight from a year and a half ago. That deserved a Burgerville run. :-)

7 more lbs, almost an inch down the middle, and 1% of body fat.

I dropped another 7.5 pounds in July which takes me below the gym's original goal of 210. I might break 200 in August if this keeps up. I'm another 1-1.5" skinnier around the middle. I got a better measurement for the fat percentage this month which shows that I lost 2% in the past two months. I might even come close to my goal of under 20% ( Read more... )

Today was the first time my new trainer (TrainerT) took measurements. Part of the eleven pounds lost this month might be because I'm usually at the lowest weight for the week on Monday evenings since that is the end of my calorie counting days. TrainerT wasn't all that pinchy with the calipers so my body fat measurement was up from last month. ( Read more... )
