(no subject)
i love it when i pleasantly surprise myself with food. tonight i made a ministirfry (because when i make big ones i never finish eating them and then they go bad -- like that bowl half full of rice and vegetables that i found in the fridge yesterday. let's not talk about it.) with no rice. i had no sauce so i put some peanutbutter, soysauce, chilisauce, and soymilk in a bowl and mixed it all up. delicious! my belly is full of warm veggies and tofu and i am happy.
my da and linda came by earlier to give me things that are covered in wrapping paper. i am not to open them until tomorrow, they say (i opened my present from my brother because i knew it was beer but i wanted to know what kind -- it's sleeman's winter mixer. not bad!). i'm not really itching to open them, and it seems depressing to me that i will open them alone, but well, what can you do.
i managed to record some more songs today so i might be able to slap together that cd for my da. dinner is around six and since my brother is spending christmas with his girlfriend... it's strange. i guess now i just want it to be over.
dan bought me a perogi cat! it is white and ghostly and cute. there is so much booze in my house right now. overcompensating started updating again and there is a new website. i am glad.
i have to start thinking about how i will occupy my time when i am unemployed because otherwise i will spend eight hours a day checking to see if various blogs, comics, and news sites have updated.
i discovered charlotte gainsbourg. i like her music a lot, it seems.
hung out with jordan last night for the first time in a while. we walked along the water downtown, to shoal point and back. it was very nice. he talked about things which was very good, i think. i told him how i bought a new journal back in mid november and it's already half full. i haven't been having ... certain types of conversations with people so i have to write all that stuff out instead. it's not necessarily a bad thing.
