Universe: KKM
Pairing: Gwendal/OC
Warnings: SPOILERS for eppy 68
Summary: Gwendal is bethrothed several thousand years ago...
disclaimer: not mine, the OC is mine though, and came about because Gwendal is one of my favorite guys and it seems the most hetero of them all... whatever that means. this is strictly playing off my imagination ...
*grins* and *winks*
anyway, those who think gxg is canon, well - there's always a but in this imperfect world, even if it is fanfic.
anyway. this idea came about because i havent gotten any sleep in the last 36 hours... due to some pains that's keeping awake. and i'm already an insomniac, the pains worsen it...which just about kills me softly every d**n night.
one other thing bothers me... i cant remember the hair colour of von Voltaire in that era... i'm hoping it's the same, but i will be checking that sometime this weekend...

lily haydee provided the other names i couldnt remember from eppy 68, i could only remember Lawrence Weller.
I havent corrected any of my fics - if I used Gwen's full name. I am fully corrected that his name is von Voltaire.... so in this fic, it is by that name.
ps. Rufus Bielefeld (just in case i need it somewhere here)

It was one of those rare days, Gwendal, along with his two brothers, Conrad and Wolfram were outside the castle discussing a few rebuilding items with Yuuri and Murata Ken. So it was very strange to have a beautiful lady looking for her Lord von Voltaire. The castle guards hadnt wanted to let her in but she was very beautiful and she said she needed to ask justice from the Maou.
She was announced by Dacascos... so everyone was looking expectantly at her. Her eyes were immediately drawn to Gwendal, and everyone was surprised - Gwendal, most spectacularly, when she suddenly kissed him very sweetly on the lips and murmured against his lips, "My Lord Siegebert von Voltaire, it has been so long..."
Gwendal stood awkwardly, unable to hold this beautiful woman away from him, especially one who was holding on to him for dear life, and oh so sweetly.
Yuuri, although eyes very round in sheer surprise, was able to ask, "Lady ...?"
The lady turned, and said sweetly "Maria Giselle von Wincott.." and adding ever so gently " ... now von Voltaire", slapping Gwendal, and saying vivaciously to her lord "you told me to accept your proposal again by slapping you as well when i see you again". A look at their astonished faces prompted her to add, "only sister of Erhalt and Christel von Wincott"
"Giselle."
She turned puzzled eyes to Murata Ken. "You have the double black of ...." and trails off as she notices the same characteristics on Yuuri and a shocked expression appeared in her eyes when she saw the pendant he was wearing.
She dead fainted, but happily Gwendal's reflexes were more than equal to the task, and readily caught her, lifting her easily into his arms. Instinctively he would have headed for his room, but stopped to look at Murata Ken and at Yuuri for whatever they had to say. Yuuri had merely nodded. Murata Ken had added "your bedroom would be best, Lord von Voltaire," ruining his serious tone with the smirk on his face.
Gizela is fetched and they all congregate outside the door, waiting for word from Gizela who had checked her patient. Everyone else is listening to Murata Ken's explanation that she had been lost, and that yes, she was bethrothed to the then Lord von Voltaire. Siegbert von Voltaire who was head of that family at that time. It was up to the current head of the family to honor the bethrothal, or his family would face dishonor. Shinou had been much pleased with the bethrothal as it tied two of the ruling aristocracy into family bonds.
Murata Ken mused that even he could not explain where she had been, but they could always ask her when she was feeling better. He also told Gwendal that he should go in since she might look for him the moment she woke up, and she would need reassurance if she did. So Gwendal went in, and took over Gizela, and asked for Yozak.
Gwendal's was never happy at not doing anything so to ease his anxiety, he decided to knit, but would look at her face every now and then.
In repose, Giselle was beautiful, as beautiful, if not more beautiful, than Suzanna Julia. Her hair was silky long and silvery white. And her eyes, which he noticed when she had kissed him so sweetly, was grey, with flecks in them that looked like twinkling stars. And she was tiny, he had felt her move on her tiptoes and leaned into him for that kiss. Such a beautiful fragile lady ... but her clothes were indeed rich, if a little oddly styled... but it suited her, framing her beautiful wide shoulders to perfection and tinny waist that he was almost sure he could span with one hand splayed.
Knit. Gwendal wasnt sure what he was knitting. He only knew it was something that reminded him of her...
Yozak arrived and got his instructions. He was met outside by the group who was still clustered by the hallway, awaiting news. Yozak had simply been tasked by Gwendal to find out everything he could about the lady and to report soonest.
Finally the lady awakened, and finding von Voltaire in easy distance was reassured, and she smiled, moving her hand on his arm. Gwendal smiled awkwardly but sincerely and asked if she was alright. She looked adoringly into his eyes, and murmured, "hmmm, yes"
"They want to see you Giselle. Would that be alright?"
"but cant you tell them what they need to know, Siegebert?"
"I wish I could, but... "
She frowns at first, but then nods, then playfully "anything you want. a kiss first?"
So Gwendal bent down to kiss her on her forehead but she guided his chin so that it landed on her lips. A quick kiss, but she was naughty and bit his lip. And then he stood up to let the others in.
Their faces looked concerned, so that she was moved to inform them she was alright. She had fainted because there were two double blacks and that one of them had her pendant. Everyone was surprised. They had all thought it was Suzanna Julia's but apparently it was an inherited piece... from Giselle. When they asked her, she said she had given it to her brother Erhalt for safe-keeping because the lock needed fixing. She therefore assumed Yuuri was a Wincott someone.
"You must be a Wincott. Only the Wincotts are allowed to own that pendant. Or if they give it to someone, it is merely to safeguard, for another Wincott some day. You must be .... who is the Maou? Where is Shinou? I had dreams of him saying goodbye to Daikenja... but it was a Daikenja I could not recognize"
Her voice was slowly rising in tone, becoming anxious, and Gwendal hurried to hold her hand.
"Where have you been, my heart?"
At those words, everyone was shocked, was this Gwendal speaking - surely, it wasnt... it didnt even sound like Gwendal. Conrad, however, suddenly found enlightenment. Gwendal was acting smitten. Nobody had ever seen Gwendal smitten before. So this face and attitude of Gwendal was new - to everyone. Conrad was studying Gwendal's face.
"I was walking. I had told Nana ..."
(at this, everyone looked at Murata Ken to let him know they expected him to fill up the blanks afterwards)
"I was safe. I was near home anyway, but I fell and lost consciousness. I had strange dreams ... I saw Christel in some strange place, walking, falling in love with different people who died so quickly it seemed, in an instance, then to someone named Bob. I saw Christel die. "
(she swallowed a sob, and Gwendal squeezed her hand in silent comfort)
"And Erhalt ... I saw him get married .... but ShinMakoku was changing changing I couldnt understand. And I saw Erhalt die. Why.... And you Siegebert, why could I not see you my love? Did you not miss me? Was it my fault for not completing the ceremony by not returning the slap? But you knew, you know I love you. This is why I slapped you immediately."
(She abrupts sits and hugs Gwendal, who hugs her back).
Gizela came in. "You must be hungry, Lady Giselle.."
"Thank you"
Gwendal stood up, and the others file out again, to leave Gwendal with his supposed wife.
Inside the room, Giselle still wanted specifics, but Gwendal was adamant about making her eat.
** and it's time to rest... hopefully i shall be in the mood to continue tomorrow... at home.
