Another rare entry, another repetitive reason...
Every year I do a gaming marathon for Big Cat Rescue in Tampa Florida. I started doing it in memory of Feep and now it's a thing I do every year. Last year we raised over $15,000 for them, and I'd like to make a similar number this year if only so we can put our total raised for BCR to $50,000 over the past five marathons. I'm going to give the spiel I give everyone when I do this.
Firstly, your donations are tax deductible. This is not like some furry fundraisers where the money is going to someone's private paypal. This is going to an actual verified fundraiser site that has verified the charity is a nonprofit and will give you an invoice you can use on your taxes. I don't see a penny of the money, I don't get paid a dime. I even ask that people who want to help feed us do so by getting us certificates and gift cards instead of sending me money. All I get out of this is the satisfaction that I have helped and two sleepless frantic fun insane days.
Secondly, This isn't a gamestream where I play Call of Duty for two days and bore you to tears. I am playing short story driven games that are fun to watch. If you don't like what I'm playing you can come back in a couple of hours and I'll probably be playing something else. People who hate gamestreams seem to like mine. I'm fun, I promise.
Thirdly, I am giving away over FIFTY prizes. One every hour, some just because someone does something that makes me happy. I have about sixty Steam codes I need to unload. Someone donated a Wacom Intuos 5, a copy of Art of Zootopia,
a handcrafted leather wallet/bag,
plush huggy whales,
two miniature game cabinets, I'm donating a Kindle. There's more stuff than I can hope to sum up. But folks have been extremely generous.
It happens October 29-30 and you don't even have to leave your house. Just go to
http://littletales.tigerdile.com when the clock strikes Saturday Eastern. I even have a handy countdown timer on the
Kitties Page. Or you can donate directly
here at the Razoo site.
This is my one big thing. And it helps to have my friends there. I hope to see some of you!
