Kimi Wa Petto

So, over the past month or so, I've been listening to the backlog of Slash Reports podcasts. One of them was about a Japanese drama series called Kimi Wa Petto, which roughly translates to "me and my pet" (I think, don't quote me on that). Basically, the premise is that a very successful woman, after having a HORRIBLY shitty month (wherein she's demoted and her boyfriend gets caught having an affair--the other woman? preggers) finds a boy in a box, and decides to take him back to her apartment and fix him up/doctor his wounds.

He then refuses to leave, and she strikes a deal with him wherein he can stay if he acts as her pet. He agrees.

there's a lot of other plot stuff going on to, but I'm only a few episodes in and don't want to spoil it for anyone.

ANYWAY, this show? IS THE CUTEST THING ON EARTH. You must watch! MUST! You can google it and find places to stream it online; you can find it on BitTorrent sites, it's out there. You just need to watch it, now, because seriously? SERIOUSLY? SO FUCKING CUTE.

I'm scared, a tiny bit, because after this I'm going to start watching Coffee Princes, which is a K Drama that was also rec'd on Slash Report. Who knew, apparently I needed cute, Asian live-action drama's to make my day better. SO CUTE!

What I really want to see, and have wanted to see for awhile, is Antique Bakery (the live action Korean movie) but that I still can't find online. If anyone knows of a link, feel free to toss it my way.

After all this, I want to read more comics, too.

The moral of the entire story is that I shouldn't listen to Slash Report, because if I do? I will find new things to obsess and like and fawn over.

Sometime soon I'm going to type up a very long, very detailed rec list for Glee stories. I <3 Glee, and there is a lot of fic out there, but not much of it is *excellent* fic. Don't get me wrong, most of it is good/fun/cute but there are a few stories that are GREAT, that tell larger truths and capture the imagination and do everything really good storytelling is supposed to do.

One of these stories is over 900,000 words long. okay, I lied, it's a series of stories and it's always growing and moving and seriously, seriously, one of the best fan works I've ever read. That isn't to say it doesn't have problems, because it does, and i'll get all into it next time.

But yes. Glee and Kimi Wa Petto = my life. Good, no?
