Raaaaiiiiiin :D
Good evening to you all. :) I have pretty much spent most of the night on my new laptop looking at books and stuff on amazon.com and looking at other websites too... it's soooo tempting to spend money online, lol. I already have a few books on order, including a book on chaos magic (which I have been wanting to read about for a while, hopefully I shall be casting circle with a spork in no time :P) and Queen of Shadows, a work of fiction by one of my favorite pagan authors Dianne Sylvan.
The rain has been beating down nice and gently, it should be nice when I go to bed, but I feel like I can't sleep yet. I might do some more work on the Kuan Yin I've been painting... it's turning out OK, but next time I'll use a bigger canvas, smaller paintbrush or both. Might put pics up when I'm done. I haven't done any painting in ages, but it feels good to do something creative.
I talked to my dad on the phone earlier. I've come a long way since I was estranged from my folks for a year, honestly felt like they didn't love me and thought our relationship was unsalvagable. Now I have an ok relationship with them both, not saying things will be the same again but at least I can have them in my life, as I think there is genuine love there afterall (despite their idyosyncranicities and eccentricities, as well as my own). Maybe they realise that I have real problems, on some level they messed me up and all the stuff I did wrong in the past wasn't totally my own fault. Not that I am making excuses for my crap decisions and behaviour.
Anyway, I might have to get going soon as my husband might be feeling a bit neglected. :) It's so great having interwebs at home and getting to blog (and facebook, except I'm trying to cut back on that) as much as I like.
