This stuff came out of my head... should I put it back in?

My computer can't access facebook.
This is clearly... the best thing ever to me.
That place is a terrible thing.. I've always thought so and yet, I went, I saw, I offered status updates... my account is almost exactly a year old, ie: I was the second-to-last person to join, ever.... I'm told.
Those places creep me out.
I like... reality... too much.
....Which is EXACTLY why Im anonymous on Livejournal?
Uh... lets move along...

I was just reminiscing about when a couple of us had the sudden inspiration to block off a major road in town in the wee-hours of twilight... and had the guileless brains of teenagers to do so just down the street from a firestation.
We made a really terrible blockade out of roadcones and single strand of caution tape crossing 4 lanes of traffic. It was a SUGGESTION of a blockade... in reality. We didn't want to force people to turn around, we wanted to tempt people into crossing a line they KNEW they SHOULD be able to cross... but arbitrarily being told they couldn't.

Ok, ok... those weren't my EXACT thoughts as I hunched behind the tractor wheel, watching people evade the obstacle course,.. each in their own, unique.. personal ways. Only 4 or 5 cars passed through it in the 20 minute span of vigilence, laughter and restoration work on our little experiment.
Then, the cops came... and Tim... bright as a new dime..., FLED. He disappeared into the night like a jackrabbit... that guy has got some real-good instincts for self-preservation.
The two 17 yr old chubby white chicks... had no such inclination. We sauntered and tried to get by on "Yes, officer? What? US? No, you're mistaken." which is exactly what we tried when the patrolcar stopped us in the area. It totally worked.
Tim? We didn't see Tim again for another 30 or 40 minutes. He was GONE.

What Im saying is... we kept rebuilding it for people to tear down... and once the first car did it, I realized I wanted to see how EVERYONE reacted to The Pathetic Piece of Caution Tape setting their limits. Wasn't there a Keep "ON" The Grass bit on Candid Camera? It was like that... but bored teenager style. We were little monkeys with imaginations and cars.. it was good times back then.

Im at the first rumblings of Packing Up.
I hate moving.
Hate moving.
I've done it so much, you'd think I'd be better at it by now... but no, I just have too much stuff.
Too much RANDOM stuff. Where DOES one efficiently and thoughtfully pack an antique caboose lantern wearing waggling Groucho nose/glasses? With the toiletries? The linens? The trash? O dear! O me!

I dont even CARE about stuff.. but I have so MUCH of it!
I framed up a few more of my autographs... my new ones from Bobby Kennedy Jr and Conan O'Brien.
Speaking of Tim...

this is what Tim and Lauren got signed for me... which is FINALLY framed on my wall.. along with my ticket stub from seeing him last June.
My signed Bobby Kennedy Jr. stub is displayed with the 1990 Life Magazine cover I hoarded from my mothers hoard 10 years ago.

I figure a classic historic cover featuring his grandmother is almost classy... I considered framing it with my Speeches of John F. Kennedy vinyl also saved from one of the endless purgings of weird cool stuff from my mom.. but ya know what? Its gotta be hard being associated with assassinations all the time.

moving, tim, rissa
