New possibilities
Work is slow right now. I've applied to be a QA Tech for the Programming
Department. Got a call from HR wanting to know who had recommended I apply
for the job. The Product Development Manager had.
After thinking about it I realized that my resume doesn't quite show I'm
qualified for the job I've applied for. But I did point out to HR that I am
currently working with the PDM doing QA work, and I have multiple times in
the past for our department. It helps that I also have a letter of
recommendation from my supervisor. Now, as long as HR pushes my app to the
Programming department I'll have a chance. As it is my name is floating
around there with the power that be. I am looking forward to this
opportunity to stretch my wings and really delve into my more geeky/tech
side, assuming my company will give me this opportunity. So positive juju
that I get a call for an interview.
Tomorrow we go in to get the paper work started to refinance the house.
Before I know it I will officially be a homeowner. This is a good thing.
It's one step closer to letting go of the past and moving forward towards
the future.
