Bird pics
Ugh. I was ready to finish chapter 7 of Seeds of Discord at about 5,000 words, but then it suddenly began to get longer and longer... though not long enough to be cut into two parts, and I'm anxious to post it before November 1st.
Anyway, here are some pics of Shimba, my bird! Isn't she cute beyond all reason? :3
Shimba does some weird things sometimes. Before her last molting, when she wanted to bask in the sun, she would get all puffed out, keep her mouth open, and tilt her head to the side, like in the following pictures.
For the record, we don't really know the bird's sex. We suspect it's male, but we've grown so used to referring to it as female that it's stuck.
