we'd all be lucky to have a love like that in a lifetime

Since this journal is meant to document my life, mostly for me to look back later and know what was going on in my life.

So here's what's going on today.

I got a glimpse of what happens when I world music icon dies.

Michael Jackson died at 50 years old today. It's just... weird. Just weird...

Bad and thriller are some amazing moments in my childhood.

Yeah, he turned into a fruit cake, but before that... yeah. He was awesome.

So after finding out about this I was walking home and my phone rang. It said GUITAR CENTER FLORENCE. Weird... who the hell is calling me. This is weird... so I answer it.

I hear Taylor Burns on the other end. He sounds like he's been crying.

He tells me that Robbie Gasorowski killed himself on Wednesday. Omfg. I didn't even know what to say. I was in complete shock.

I just kept saying "jesus fuckin christ" over and over.

Robbie was amazing. I liked him a lot. He was this tiny little guy... maybe 5' 5"... super thin, he had glasses and loooong hair. He was a metal god. He could totally shred on the guitar.
He wore the same damn shirt every single day.

I had to write robbie up more than any other employee in my store. I had to lower his approval screens. That's a punishment I never had to give anyone else. He was so forgetful and silly. He broke rules all the time.

But he always knew I was only doing what I had to do as a manager. And I always knew he didn't mean anything by fucking up the rules all the time. We joked about it and there were never any hard feelings.

Robbie moved to California. We all thought he was happy there. He seemed happy. :/

But he killed himself.

I don't get it. He was such a chill guy. So much fun.
I just can't believe it. :(

I'd like to point out this is the second 632 brother I've lost.
On top of these deaths, I'm staring my city in the face, watching it die in front of me. Dayton is one of the top 10 fastest dying cities in america. Its pretty depressing.

What a day.
