Well, we went to see this other doctor today. He told Brian that as you grow older, your tonsils are supposed to shrink. There's a scale from 1 to 4 of how big they should be. Brian's are at a 3. Which is bad. Also, they're supposed to have a golf ball like texture, like with pocks, or divets kind of... his tonsils, however, have recesses, like, craters or something... basically, they have little holes in them. These holes allow infection/bacteria to harbor inside of the tonsils. This causes him to get a lot of sore throats.

There is no tumor though. Thank god. I want to slap that other doctor for even suggesting it.

So, the doctor said he would highly suggest a tonsillectomy to remove the enlarged, irregular tonsils, however, because he's 28 years old, it would be extremely painful and even under hardcore drugs, he would be in pretty terrible pain to the point where he would not be able to work for 10-14 days. Though, I personally think he should do it, he's scared about the pain and the cost. It would cost money to have it done and it would cost more money for him to miss work for two weeks. That would be pretty awful to tell the truth. I don't know that we could afford it. I guess we'll see...

After the doctor visit, we went the Hauer and looked at pianos. I think we found one we're going to buy. It's a old Wurlitzer. It's a cream color with gold details and french legs. I love the french legs because it gives it a really old style feel... it also has a really unique book rest. I should have taken a photo... It's really pretty. Oh well, turns out, I work there and I can take a photo tomorrow lol... We have it marked at $900 I think, but Jerry said he would sell it to me for $550, delivered and tuned and he would find me a bench, which I could refinish to match, though he didn't have a matching bench. He just wants to move some of the old pianos out because people don't buy the smaller spinets nearly as much as the larger pianos. We've been wanting one for a while and I think this would be a nice one to have. It's very different and I like that. I also think it would look really good in our loft and would help us fill in the space we need to fill.

I'm torn because this would involve me giving up my Christmas money from Grandpa... and I am really itching to get tattooed. I really want my journal and pen from kevin and something from andy blair. I don't know.

After the piano search, we went to do a small bit of shopping. I wanted to run to the dollar store just to pick up something for my niece Sophia, she's only a year and a half old. I wanted to get her a little purse and fill it with stuff. She loves combs and brushes and things like that. So I figured the dollar store was a good place to start. I found a cute little bag and cute little comb and brush set. I didn't see much else though, so I'll finish that shopping elsewhere.

We grabbed lunch at Smokin' BBQ and went back to the house to eat. I thought I lost my wallet, but it was sitting on the kitchen counter when we got home. doh. I'm stupid. Oh well. I was freaking out lol.

We still need to shop, wrap gifts, hang pictures, a lot of stuff really. Tori's flute recital was cancelled. Oh well. Which reminds me that the Flute Festival is on Friday. Ugh. I promised to photograph it. What was I thinking? Oh well. At least I'll be getting paid.
