Disneyland, Lily, Pete, Maggie, Scrubs, and ONE

OMG Disneyland was so much fun!
The POTC ride is okay. I'm glad that's it's open again. I couldn't take good pictures inside the ride. It was really dark inside.
*SPOILERS*
Captain Jack appears 3 times in the ride.
Davy Jones comes out once
New pirates are added to the ride. For example, a few more pirates where added to the jail cell
Captain Jack is mentioned a lot in the ride. In the battle scene, the captain (barbossa? I heard the pirate is suppose to be barbossa) says something about Jack
The pirate skull that talks to you in the beginning before you drop says new things
Some of the pirates have new and needed updates. For example, the drunk pirate over the bride at the end of the ride is on fire
There's a portrait of Jack when you walk in
The jewelry in the ride is now new and polished
The skeleton in the jewelry scene now has clothes
The 3 scenes Jack appears in are:
1)When the guy (i don't know if he's the mayor or governor) is getting dunked. Jack is standing near by.
2)When you pass the pirates singing the song and the maid looking lady chasing the pirates around a kitchen. Jack is next to the pirate that is drunk and next to the pigs if I'm not mistaken. He's pops in and out of a barrel.
3)He's sing the famous pirate song while sitting in a gold chair around, well, a lot of gold. He's the last thing you see before you go on the little slow drop.

Other than that, the ride is still pretty much the same. Oh, and plus they added a small pirate show and my favorite...A Captain Jack Sparrow impersonator!!!! I took a picture with him with took forever to take! He kept walking away! I finally stopped him in the New Orleans Square! I'll post the pictures later.

I saw some close family friends over at Disneyland (weird since I never really see anyone I know at Disneyland). The guys from our last ASB trip to Disneyland weren't there. You know what guys Rosie. I bought so many POTC stuff over at Disneyland! I had $60 when I came. I left with only $10. ):

Before we left, we saw the movie Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby. Of course, Will, Sacha, and John were hilarious. It was overall, a funny movie.

Anyway, here's some new news:

Lily Allen collaborates with Robbie Williams
'Smile' star also begins her US offensive

Lily Allen is to feature on Robbie Williams' new album.

Allen sang on three of the former Take That star's new songs before she was famous.

Speaking to The Herald Sun, Allen said: "I was recording with Mark Ronson, and he was working on Robbie's album. It was before anything happened with me. He needed a female vocalist. I said fine and did it and I think Robbie's quite pleased now.

"I think they sound pretty good, though I can't actually remember what they're called or how they go."

It seems Lily Allen is also hoping to succeed where her collaborator failed and break the US.

Her album 'Alright, Still' will be released by major label Capitol in 2007, and Allen has lined up two dates across the Atlantic:

*Los Angeles Troubadour (October 14)
*Chicago Double Door (16)

More dates will be announced soon.

NBC's "Scrubs" to Feature Musical Episode with Songs by Q Composers
By Andrew Gans
17 Aug 2006

The Tony Award-winning composers of Avenue Q will pen new songs for an upcoming musical episode of the NBC series "Scrubs."

Debra Fordham, a supervising producer for the television series, told Playbill.com that Robert Lopez and Jeff Marx will write several songs for a musical episode of the series that she is currently writing. "The general plot," said Fordham, "is that a woman comes into Sacred Heart, our hospital, complaining that she constantly hears music, yet all her tests come back normal. Is she just crazy? Or is something else going on?"

The Q duo will write "the big opening number, the act break and the finale. The fourth one is a song about a stool sample!" The episode is scheduled to film in October and should air some time in spring 2007.

"Scrubs," according to the show's official website, "focuses on the strange experiences of J.D., a medical resident, as he continues on his healing career in a surreal hospital crammed full of unpredictable staffers and patients - where humor and tragedy can merge paths at any time." Zach Braff portrays Dr. John "J.D." Dorian, and the cast also features Sarah Chalke, Donald Faison, Neil Flynn, Ken Jenkins, John C. McGinley and Judy Reyes. Bill Lawrence is the executive producer of the Emmy-nominated series; Will McKenzie will direct the musical episode.

Lopez and Marx met at the BMI Workshop in 1998. Prior to writing the Tony-winning Avenue Q, they collaborated on Kermit, Prince of Denmark and Theatreworks/USA's Reading Rainbow and Ferdinand the Bull. The young composers/lyricists are currently at work on a musical comedy film for Universal Pictures as well as a stage musical with "South Park" creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker. A few of their songs were also recently featured in If You Give a Mouse a Cookie & Other Story Books.

PETE DOHERTY SENT TO THE PRIORY

Pete Doherty will stay at The Priory rehabilitation clinic in London until he is sentenced on drugs charges next month.

Sentencing for Doherty, who has pleaded guilty to seven counts of drug possession at Thames Magistrates' Court (August 18), is due on September 4. He was bailed earlier today and as part of the conditions will stay in the clinic made famous for treating celebrities.

However, he may still face jail. District Judge Alison Rose told Doherty that her sentencing options "most definitely include the possibility of custody".

Doherty's community order is also to be reviewed on September 4, according to Sky News.

The charges Doherty is facing relate to three arrests - on April 20, 29 and August 7 - and concern three counts of cocaine possession, two for heroin possession and two for cannabis.

As previously reported, Babyshambles missed a recent appearance at Ibiza Rocks after Doherty had trouble with his passport.

Lindsay Rallies for ONE
August 17, 2006
ONE for all and all for ONE! LINDSAY LOHAN and a handful of concerned celebrities are taking a stand against AIDS and extreme poverty, lending their visages to the launch of the newest T-shirt from ONE, The Campaign to Make Poverty History -- and ET is behind the scenes at the star-studded photo shoot!
The new ONE T-shirt, available Sept. 11 only at Nordstrom, is made in Lesotho of 100% African cotton and will help consumers bring trade to an area of extremely high unemployment. Lesotho is one of the poorest countries in the world; it has one of the highest AIDS rates in the world, with 29% of the population infected. Every T-short sold donates $10 to the Apparel Lesotho Alliance to Fight AIDS (ALAFA) fund, which provides life-saving prevention and medicines to factory workers and their families in the region.
The new print campaign was shot by supermodel and photographer HELENA CHRISTENSEN and also includes the help of such stars as hot couple HEATH LEDGER and MICHELLE WILLIAMS, JIMMY FALLON, NAOMI WATTS, KATE BOSWORTH, ROSARIO DAWSON, DJIMON HOUNSOU, PETER SARSGAARD and GARY OLDMAN.
EDUN, the socially conscious clothing brand created by New York clothing designer ROGAN GREGORY, ALI HEWSON and ONE anchor BONO, is collaborating with the U2 frontman's charity organization to launch the new T-shirt.
ONE's mission is to rally Americans to fight the emergency of global AIDS and extreme poverty. Over 1 billion people today live on less than a dollar a day, and a child dies every three seconds due to AIDS and extreme poverty. ONE recruits supporters from all walks of life, hoping to rally more support and awareness of the epidemic problem.

Gyllenhaal holding out for fairy tale wedding

Maggie Gyllenhaal is dreaming of a big white wedding - and says she won't marry fiance Peter Sarsgaard until after their baby is born. "We don't want to just go to City Hall," the Trust the Man star says. "I've had many different incarnations of my fantasy wedding dress. I want the fairy tale!"

I'm a fan of Lily, but I just wished she didn't talk so bad about celebrities. I love Smile, LDN, Knock 'Em Out, and a few others, but if she wants some publicity in the US, she needs to cut down on all the things she says. I can't wait till Maggie becomes Mrs. Sarsgaard, and I'm glad ONE is becoming more known. I joined over a year or so. It doesn't cost anything to join, so join ONE now!
ciao!
