Holy crap, what the fuck was THAT? (Last Resort)
Last Resort, again. Spoilers ahead.
OH MY FUCKING GOD GRACE YOU BAMF! No, seriously, that was SOME REALLY AWESOME SHIT GOOD GOD! I still haven't quite figured out what you did but you had me thinking you'd really hit the Illinois right up until the torpedoes hit the wall. That took guts and damn, I love it when they give women guts like that! I'm still so over the moon I can't even properly talk about JESUS FUCKING CHRIST! And oh my God, Prosser! He really redeemed himself in that episode what with the "Officer on deck!" and everything. I'm so, so glad I hated him but didn't give up on him. He's a motherfucker alright but I think I'm starting to realize what makes him tick. That hopefully will come in handy for future fic...
Also, Kylie and Christine for the fucking win! I had my doubts about Christine until now and if I was ever gonna actually root for her but that was the turning point. The way she accepted Kylie's offer and everything... that girl's got guts we didn't know about. Loved that turn :D Seemes like this was kind of an episode for strong women, overall although I'm glad we didn't get to see so much of Tani and I'm really sorry to say that but what is that character's purpose othe than King's love interest but I'll come to that again later. Grace, Kylie, Christine, even the presidential advisor. I missed Cortez and I hope we haven't seen the last of her yet because damn, she fits right in there. Gimme me more on that!
Chaplin and his playing the SecDef was awesome, too but honestly, Sam, don't you get it? Even though his betraying Chaplin was actually what he wanted, I still wanted to hit Sam. See, if someone wants a deal that includes secrecy so hard as SecDef wants it, there's something rotten in Denmark, Sam. I realize he's supposed to be the second guesser, kind of Chaplin's Jiminy Cricket (see what did there? See what I did there? :D) but geez, make him see the light already. And please, give us some clues on the big conspiracy. Yes? Please?
Also, heh, we now know King's rank :D *secretly strokes wee wittle King/Grace bunny Also, what did he say in response to Grace's "That was a tough call, petty officer?" I rewound a couple times but didn't really get it. Anyone know what he said? (and could they please stop have shirtless!King/Grace scenes and stop with all the chemistry, if they want to go down the King/Tani route? Otherwise it's starting to look like a stupid love triangle. On the other hand, mh, angst King/Grace fic...)
Last but not least,,, they had to ruin that awesome episode with that King/Tani kiss, didn't they? And see, that's what I mean about Tani. She's only in the episodes that King features and she only features in combination with him. Everything we know about her, we learned in combination with King? Can't they get at least her own plot line for her (and a purpose, other than wanting to leave the stupid island)? I'd very much appreciate that, thank you.
So, maybe the show that I'd been looking for for the sociology paper just presented itself to me (it might still become Stargate though. And I can always write a PhD thesis on Stargate. Fear not, mackenziesmomma). It'd be awesome to get all sciency (yes, sociology is a science. Not an art. Whoever told you English speakers it was an art?) on Grace and Cortez :D
