Gackt Live November 26, 2005 ~ Tokyo International Forum
Spoiler-free again. ^^
We headed out of the hotel around 4:00 and caught a train to the forum. At the last minute we had decided to take a different line because it seemed quicker, but it ended up the station was a little farther away from the Forum~ ^^; Still, we got there about 15 minutes before the doors opened, so we hung around outside for a bit. There were lots of Gackt cosplayers there, and some of them were really good! There was a DIABOLOS Gackt and a Black Stone Gackt that were both perfect. It felt like I was at an anime con with all the cosplayers around. :D I didn't bring a camera, though, so unfortunately no pics~ It would be really fun to cosplay, but I could never pull off a Gackt cosplay. XD From hanging around outside, it already felt like it'd be a much different crowd from Okinawa.
The Forum is a really nice venue. It's big, but it still feels intimate. I'm used to seeing concerts at arenas, so seeing Gackt in the small venues has been great. We were much closer this time, row 20 on the first floor, and it made a big difference. I was a LOT closer. I could see his face clearly, and could see when he was smiling or looking around. It was also louder, though I don't know if that was because of the venue or because we were just closer to the speakers. Probably both. There was a big-headed boy in front me the whole time, so I had to keep looking around his big head, but I could see for the most part. ^^
The MC was really long! He started out saying that he had arrived in Tokyo safely from Okinawa~ that got a nice applause. :D He then told us he had a cold. ;__; He joked about how every time he'd yell "yaaaa~" his 'hanamizu' (nose fluids, you know, snot ^^) would fly out. XD He aplogized in advance for anyone who got his hanamizu on them; but he said to drink it up if it did. XD XD
He then said that the second floor was a bit scary, I think because they were pretty wild up there. He said that if the whole floor continued the way they were, the people at the very front of the second floor would fall out from the shaking, and then the people underneath could then catch them and pass them forward over their heads until they reached the stage. It was really funny the way he described it, with his sound effects and such. Gackt has the best sound effects. :D
Somewhere in the MC he made himself laugh~ He laughed once, and then he laughed out loud again, the way he laughed in that Volvic interview. It was very cute, and I loved it.
Next he said that when he arrived in Tokyo, he felt like driving. So he went driving around Shibuya. ^^ And got lost. XD He then talked about the navigation system in his car~ for a really long time. XD He said that the navigation system's voice was really boring, and he imitated the way it says things like, "in 100 meters, turn left", etc. He then wondered if he could put his own voice in the navigation system. So he went to the company (he could not recall which ^^) and asked if he could do it. I'm not really sure what he said happened next. ^^;; But, he was trying to convince us that a car with a Gackt navi system would be great (yes we all agreed). He said that it would not only have his voice, but it would have his 'Gackt world'. XD So, when we are feeling sad and lonely, we'd decide to go driving, and when we get in the car, it'd say something like 'you seem sad~~ let's go to so-and-so'. XD XD He said something about GacktJob too, but I don't know what it was. ^^;;
After that long part about the navi, he then talked about You. He said he feels safest when You is the one that's driving. But, he told three stories about how You can be a dangerous driver. Once, he almost fell asleep at the wheel; Gackt was noticing that You was not braking when he should be, so he was all "You...You......YOU!!!!" And You answered back calmly, something like 'aa, abunai~' XD XD His imitation of You was funny~ he makes You sound slow or just very calm. One other time they went driving, Gackt was falling asleep in the passenger seat, and when he woke up, the car was spinning around in circles. XD He said it was like one of the Police Story movies. And the last incident was when a truck knocked off the side mirror. He said that after driving around with You, he can drive around with anyone. ^^
Gackt's sound effects were soooo great!! And he tells such entertaining stories. It would be so fun to just hang out with him and hear his stories~
By the way, when he introduced the band members and got to You, he said he didn't have anything more to say about him. XD XD
Before starting up again after the MC, he said he didn't know why, but he felt really good. He thought maybe it was his cold that was making him feel warm. Or maybe it was us making him feel warm. :D (I hope he gets a lot of rest tonight~ I hate that he's sick. -__- Seems like everyone got sick in Okinawa~)
Despite being sick, he sounded great and looked great. Being closer, I could see that he smiled a lot~ Once again I couldn't keep my eyes off of him~
There was an older woman next to me, she looked older than my mom, but she stood the whole show and did all the hand movements with the audience; there was an elementary-age looking girl in front of us, with her middle-school age looking brother and their parents; there were two girls behind us that, by the end of the night, had fallen madly in love with You~ ('yabai yabai!!'). Gackt's fans are full of variety~
He thew the Volvic bottles as usual, and you could tell he was aiming for the second level~ but he didn't reach it. ^^ One bottle went over my head and a few rows behind me, and I was sprinkled with some of the water~ I've been baptised by Gackt!! XD XD It wasn't as much as the Hyde baptism, but it was enough. :D
Today my emotions were all over the place and in jumbles. They seemed to change with each song, each moment. It really ROCKED. And I was jumping up and down again, screaming as much as I could. He was really hot. Yes, very very hot. *needs cold shower now* XD
There's a point when they shoot out these silver foil streamers into the audience. I was too far away last time, but this time I was close enough to see them flying up and floating down. It was a beautiful sight~ Mr. G_n_n caught one for me~ As I held that silver streamer, it hit me. I was really there, and I was finally a part of one of those concerts I'd seen countless times on dvd. I didn't want to leeeeeeave. When it was over, the tears finally came. All I could think of was that tomorrow would be the last.
To the people who live in Japan, it must feel different. It would be like, "It's that time of year to meet with Gackt again!" Like greeting an old friend or family member. For me, I have this feeling of anxiety. It could be the last time I see him. If only I could think more positively, that it won't be the last time, it wouldn't hurt so much. ;__;
When we got home Mr. G_n_n told me to be happy because we'll be seeing him again really soon tomorrow. But I don't want to see him so soon... it would just mean that it'd be the last time for who knows how long.
I'll do my best to enjoy it though. Because I want the memories to be good~ :D :D There's no doubt I will have a blast again tomorrow. We'll see which emotion prevails~
