Yes! I have a day off today! I finally have time to get stuff done at home that I've been meaning to do all week!
Work is good. I made the mistake of wearing heels one day; they were low, so I thought I'd be okay. I was very, very wrong. It's been three days, and my toes are finally not feeling any lingering aches. Must invest in a pair of clogs or something similar. I also need some nice turtle necks or simple button shirts; I'm finding my work wardrobe rather limited. Value Village to the rescue, and Ross as soon as I get my discount card. Can't wait for that first paycheck. I really want to know how much I'm making.
Justin and I get to visit with Kappus and Loni tonight; Jay is in a production of The Last 5 Years in Seattle, and he's hooking us up with the cheap tickets. It's been more than a years since I've seen either of them. I'm excited.
Still working on the making new friends thing. There are a couple of ladies at work who are very nice, but they work in different departments, so talking with them can be kind of hit-and-miss. One of the other cashiers is also very nice. Maybe I'll be able to make friends with her. I'm really betting my chips on the BUF. They have quite few social opportunities.
Next on my to-do list: walk to the library. I need the exercise and I need new books.
