Thenardier screwed up a blackmail attempt, which was satisfying.
Marius, thanks to Thenardier, realized that he'd been wrong about everything Valjean-related.
He and Cosette went to see Valjean and begged him to come back with them. (Which was good, but I'm still angry that Marius didn't ask any questions until all the information fell into his lap.)
Valjean talked a lot about how happy he was to see Cosette, interspersed with ways of making jet jewelry, i.e. trying to reassure Marius that he hadn't stolen Cosette's dowry.
It's hinted that the spirit of the Bishop was there at the end, which would not surprise me in the least.
