Asylum of the Daleks (7.01)

I'm really beginning to feel that New Who and I are incompatible. If this were a relationship, I think we'd be breaking up.

I was expecting this episode to be okay--good but not great, since it involved Daleks. But instead it was meh for most of it and turned awful with the Horrible Twist about Oswin Oswald at the end. (It doesn't help that people being converted into machines fills me with horror. And older Amy becoming a human-shaped Dalek and not caring was as bad as Oswin having to hallucinate that she still had a human body in order to keep from going insane.)

I don't want to see this episode again. Even the prospect of dinosaurs on a spaceship next week doesn't fill me with optimism.

Also, my account at Dreamwidth is expiring in a few days. I'm considering just letting it turn into a free account or even deleting it--because I don't get a lot of comments there. In fact, generally when I make posts on Dreamwidth, no one responds at all. I don't think that anyone is even reading it. I can't blame them; I'm not in most of the popular fandoms any longer, and I don't have anything to say that anyone is interested in. But there doesn't seem to be a lot of point in maintaining the account, under the circumstances.
