A Letter of Protest That I Just Sent

Sep 06, 2011 11:08

Dear Hartford Hospital:

I received a bill today from Cardiology PC, at {address redacted]. The account number is XXXXXXXXX and is for the amount of $325.00 for initial hospital care. The name of the doctor is [redacted], who is showing up as a Hartford Hospital physician. That is why I am contacting Hartford Hospital's billing department.

The name of the patient is [redacted].

[Redacted] was my aunt. She has been dead since September 3, 2000.

I also do not know who [redacted] is, as he was never my aunt's physician, nor has he ever been mine.

I was recently taken to the emergency room after fainting and was given a cardiogram. The bill MIGHT relate to that (though, since the only doctor I saw in the emergency room was a woman, I don't know how [this male doctor's] name got on the bill)...but I do not know why this bill has been issued in my aunt's name. I am not [redacted]. I mentioned my name to the nurses and orderlies at least fifty times, not to mention helping the EMT fill out a form as well. I also told those filling out forms that I am a Medicare patient with LQM.

I would like to have this problem resolved as quickly and as efficiently as possible.

Please contact me if you have any further information or questions.

Thank you.

health, blatant stupidity, i don't need this, scams and scammers
