Running and Drawing and Fireworks
Not all at the same time though.
First a running update.
Tuesday and Thursday (sorta):
5 minutes at 5.6 mph
10 minutes at 6.2 mph
10 minutes at 6.0 mph
5 minutes at 5.8 mph
Total Distance: 2.98 miles
Average mile: 10:04
So the run on Friday didn't go so smoothly (though the one on Tuesday was great). Since I had a half day at work I decided to go to the gym closer to my home. Not sure exactly why, but I forgot to stretch before I started, so I stopped after the first mile to stretch because my calves were starting to cramp a bit. Then I stopped after the next mile. My shoes felt strange so I took them off briefly and then tried tying them tighter, but it was too tight *sigh* So I basically did 3 miles, but I stopped for a couple minutes between each one.
My foot has also been bothering me all weekend. Just an almost constant dull ache at the back of my heel.
We went to watch fireworks last night in Toluca Lake. There is a spot near the golf course where you can see the ones at the Hollywood Bowl. Unfortunately they were apparently canceled due to high risk of brush fire.
This weekend I decided to actually draw again. I figured I should do something that could be used in my portfolio, so I stayed away from fan art. I am happy with how it turned out for the most part.
Maybe I'll try a drawing of my other niece next. Maybe from a picture of when she was a toddler.
