Snow Day!
Well, not really, but that's what I was calling it all day.
Wednesday night at about 10pm I get a text on my phone informing me that the power is off at my work building (and surrounding area) and that it would probably be off for a while.
I woke up Thursday morning to another text message informing me that I get to stay home! Yay!
It was actually a really productive day. I got a lot of errands done that I had planned on doing Saturday.
I also got some fly new shoes.
Unfortunately my day of hookie didn't end well since I did have to go into work eventually.
At 8pm.
Power came back on at 10:10pm. It is now 12:05am and we are still bringing servers online. All the servers in our mini data center had to be shut down when the power went off to avoid overheating the small room (which is sans air conditioning when the power is out).
I am so freaking tired.
Driving home is not going to be fun.
I hope they don't make me come into work early tomorrow.
