Year in 2014 Review
Happy New Year everyone!
Took this meme from a lot of other friends on my f-list.
1. Where did you begin 2014?
At home with my fiance, he dead to the world, me wide awake. :)
2. What did you do in 2014 that you'd never done before?
Planned a wedding.
3. Did you keep your New Years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I kept a few, but not the bulk of them. I already did a post about this, but I'll be making some of the same resolutions as last year - lose weight, watch more movies and tv, go to the doctor, etc.
4. Were you in school (anytime this year)?
No.
5. Did anyone close to you give birth?
I think my cousin had a baby, though I'm not sure if it was this year, or last.
6. Any new additions to your family?
No
7. Did anyone close to you die?
Thankfully, no.
8. Did you know anybody who got married?
Mike's cousin Derrick got married.
9. What countries did you visit?
No other countries unfortunately.
10. How did you earn your money?
I worked for half the year at Cracker Barrel and for one month at Big Lots.
11. Where did most of your money go?
Wedding stuff. Health insurance. Cookies. Porn. ;)
12. Did you have any encounters with the police?
We got pulled over once while Mike was driving.
13. What would you like to have in 2015 that you lacked in 2014?
A job and more money.
14. What date(s) from 2014 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
Not really. I'll have a better answer for this next year. ;)
15. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Not killing Mike's grandmother. Picking a first dance song and a place to get married.
16. What was your biggest failure?
Getting fired.
17. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Not anything serious. I injured my arm a little, but that seemed to heal itself.
18. Where did you go on holidays/vacation?
We went up to Maryland for Mike's cousin's wedding reception.
19. What was the best thing you bought?
Probably Elementary season 1.
20. Whose behavior merited celebration?
Mike's. He started school and is doing well. And he just joined a horror group online and he's making so man friends already who think he's a genius.
21. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
Mike's grandmother. She was gone for most of November and December and it was glorious.
22. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Upcoming wedding.
23. Did you move anywhere?
No, unfortunately.
24. Where do you live now?
In Florida.
25. What song will always remind you of 2014?
Shake it Off by Taylor Swift.
26. Compared to this time last year, are you:
i. happier or sadder? happier. Same
ii. thinner or fatter? Same
iii. richer or poorer? Poorer.
27. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Writing.
28. What do you wish you'd done less of?
Procrastinating.
29. Where are you spending New Year's? and with who?
Same as last year - in bed, next to my passed out fiance.
30. Did you fall in love in 2014?
Would you want to slug me, if I said - every day? ;)
31. How many one-night stands?
None.
32. What was your favorite TV program?
An oldie, but a goodie, Friends. Of newer stuff I'd say Bob's Burgers.
33. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
No.
34. What was the best book you read?
I haven't finished any books this year - read mostly fanfic.
35. What was your greatest musical discovery?
Nothing.
36. What did you want and get?
A new laptop.
37. What was your favorite film of this year?
Probably X-Men: Days of Future Past.
38. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
I turned 34 and spent most of the day driving around, doing errands then we went and saw X-Men: Days of Future Past.
39. What would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Having a job and a mostly stress-free home environment.
40. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2014?
I don't know. I don't know if my fashion is really consistent other than wearing a lot of jeans and not many t-shirts.
41. What kept you sane?
Mike, tv, internet, Mike.
42. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
Still Colin Morgan and Bradley James. And Daniel Sharman.
43. What concerts/shows did you go to?
An Insane Clown Posse concert (with other hardcore bands.)
44. Did you see any live sporting events?
No.
45. What political issue stirred you the most?
I don't focus on politics too much, but the Eric Garner case was really upsetting.
46. What has been your favorite moment?
Dancing for the first time with Mike. Christmas morning with Mike.
47. What was your best month?
Not sure. Probably January or February.
48. Who was the best new person you met?
Haven't met a lot of new people.
49. Who did you miss?
No one.

I'm always learning this (and it never seems to stick) but I have to stop making assumptions about things.
