I really loved the content of this episode. A LOT. But I didn't like the style of the episode. I hated, okay maybe hate is too strong a word, disliked all of the flashbacks especially how jumbled and out of order they were. I don't want to feel like an idiot while watching Tenn Wolf but I had trouble keeping what was going on straight at first. I ( Read more... )

See, I'm fine with flashbacks if they FILL IT ALL IN! Last night, they never explained WHY they were in what looked like an abandoned mall, they never explained why Scott thought he could go there and talk to Deucalion, they never explained ANY OF THE THINGS THAT HAPPENED! Grrrrr

I'm also annoyed by Derek trusting the lady so easily when he has the most extensive and epic trust issues in the history of the world. HOWEVER I have a feeling she's either going to die real quick (they aren't giving those two a build up so it wont be like Ms. Calendar all over again)OR she's in on something. The killings maybe? Dark witchy powers may be her thing. (it would also explain Derek's trusting her, dark witchy powers)

Either way, I really want to see it go well. I'm a reluctant fan of the show (there are a few great characters and the STORYLINE is good, but let's face it, the acting many of them do is pretty bad and Scott will never redeem himself from being a whiney little 'my life is so hard waaah' baby about most of everything and making me REALLY hate him. A lot.) and I would like to see it get BETTER if I'm going to watch it anyhow.

She definitely could die and give Derek more angst material, as if he needs any. I kind of don't want her to be evil because that's like a repeat of the Kate thing.

I actually really love Scott. Before I watched the show I heard about how whiny Scott was, and other than a few episodes here and there, I thought he handled his extreme situation very well.
