I was out on my front porch having a cigarette, thinking about how I'm stupidly optimistic about getting that 7th grade job (which I should hear about tomorrow), when I heard an occasional moaning/wailing. There are numerous small children on my street so I figured it was one of them crying somewhere. Then I heard an extremely loud and strangled cat scream. I think one of the poor outdoor cats in my neighborhood may have met with an accident. It's already dark outside and I'm afraid an injured cat may not take too kindly to a stranger...I don't know what to do. My mother told me to leave it alone, let it be...but, argh. I'll feel especially bad if it's the black cat that always scares the shit out of me and I always curse out.
All in all, I don't see this as a good omen.
