OK, help me out here, public.
The subject: intercessory prayer.
This morning I saw a bumper sticker that said "Pray everyday for God to take the drug epidemic away," and it got me thinking.
Isn't it intensely blasphemous to sit there and ask God, who already knows everything and is doing exactly what he means to be doing, to do something different? Is not intercessory prayer as egregious an affront to Godly sovreignity as biting the damn fruit of the tree of knowledge??
I'd like to know if anyone's sunday school teacher ever gave 'em an answer to this, or if you have one of your own, because honestly, it looks like blasphemy to me.
