(no subject)
This weekend was one big ball of suck. I was looking forward to having a weekend off, getting my wedding album, and generally relaxing. I took the day off work Friday because my stomach was hurting a bit. Friday night after dinner, my stomach started to hurt a lot. By midnight, we decided it was probably time to go to the ER. We went to the hospital that is like two blocks from our apartment. They basically gave me morphine and a CAT scan. CAT scans are gross because you have to drink almost a full liter of this stuff that tastes oddly like lotion. They said that the CAT scan did not show anything, so they let me go home around 5 am. I was somewhat relieved, and my stomach felt a little better (and by that I mean that the pain was only on one side instead of both). I had an appointment to get my eyebrows waxed, so I did that. I also ended up getting a haircut. It's a little too short, but that's alright.
Afterwards, the hospital called back and said that I should probably come back in. Another radiologist took a look at the CAT scan and decided that I had acute appendicitis. So we picked up our wedding album and went back to the city. So Saturday night I had my appendix removed. I don't know how long I have to be off work, but it will be at least a week. This sucks because I do not have enough sick time to cover all of my days off.
Also, not being able to do anything comfortably really sucks. Last night David had food poisoning, so he couldn't really do a whole lot. Normally we would have asked his parents to take care of us in that situation, but they just left for New York yesterday.
Blah. So that's what's going on right now.
