Zelda clay pots update:

Aug 15, 2012 00:53

So, I redid the fairy one...AGAIN. Yeah, yeah, I know, this is for a kid who probably wouldn't even understand if it was done in the wrong colors, but once again, I'm really anal-retentative about my sewing. So, I re-did it and I'm MUCH happier with the way it turned out this time! I also completed the Rupee pot, and I did a green Rupee because green seemed to be pretty popular when I looked at google images (plus someone on here suggested it as well), and Jess's mom is making red Rupee throw pillows for the room, and I know Jess didn't want too many repeats on color/piece...So I chose green because there will be red Rupees all over that room, and even though I found blue ones and purple ones, red and green seemed to be the most popular. I haven't finished the piece yet-Haven't added the text and literally just started working on the triforce (Read or Die (the OAV) and Lost Girl marathon for the productive sewing win!), which is pretty easy-I'm already half done and have only worked on it a few minutes, and will soon be adding swirls and text. I'll probably post pictures of that tomorrow :)

The re-stitched fairy-I like it much better like this!

I also have a few more questions, since you guys were so helpful before-When hanging out with a friend the other day, who isn't a BIG gamer, but is definitely more of a gamer than myself, she mentioned the triforce being grey/silver inside....I don't ever remember seeing this in my google images "research", but I thought I'd ask the experts-Will it work if I leave the inside blank, or does the center need to be silver/grey like the outside is kinda gold?

Also, I'm unsure how to do the text...This is probably more of a matter of opinion than anything, since no matter what, it won't look EXACTLY like the text in the game, so I'm polling you guys and begging you for an answer...

Should the text read like:

(A) "Good things come to those who break clay pots"

(B) "Good things come to those who break clay pots..."

(C) "Good things come to those who break clay pots!"

I'm kinda leaning towards option C myself, but I wondered what you guys thought about it?
Thanks in advance! :)
