Man, I wish I could knit. (I've tried, it didn't go well after casting on. My brain knows what I need to do, my fingers don't want to cooperate.) Because, see, if I could knit, I could make Space Invaders socks. (pattern)

I finally finished a craft project! I think the last thing I finished would've been a crocheted blanket around 18 months ago. I'm good at starting things, but not so good with finishing them. =/

Anyone planning on going to Stitches East in Baltimore in November? (Registration opens today.) I was looking at the flyer that showed up in the mail and there aren't really enough classes listed as basic enough to make it worthwhile for me to sign up, but I may pop up for the market for a day. Because, y'know, I really need more yarn. *cough*

You guys have NO IDEA how desperately I need a knitted sock monkey hat. *glee*

In case anyone reading is in need of even more yarn, Herrschners' weekly yarn sale has skeins of Debbie Bliss Cotton Cashmere for $3.47 and Berroco Lullaby (which is a wonderfully soft ribbon yarn) for $2.97 either through the 31st or until they sell out, whichever comes first.

Oh, if they made this in crochet hooks rather than knitting needles, I'd be all over it. I can't keep up with my stitch counts to save my life. (link from phinnia)
