Okay, I do love shoujo anime and manga, but I am the first to admit the shoujo genre is practically a manual titled "How to Get in An Abusive Relationship in Five Steps or Less." You all know I'm right. 3/4 of shoujo manga/anime have the girl falling for the "bad boy." The one that loses his temper easily. The one that is often verbally abusive. ( Read more... )

Let's face it.  It's hard to produce a decent fan following for a show that's based on an advertisment lineup for one of the subway lines in Tokyo.  Add to that fact that all the train stations are depicted as males that pretty much all offer a different flavor of bishounen and you've instantly alienated another large portion of the potential ( Read more... )

I bought a ton of artbooks and guidebooks in Akihabara during our trip to Japan in early April.  And I finally realized that some people might be interested in seeing what I got.  I'll leave my sister to post photos of her spoils of war as she sees fit.  We did find a Harutoki game for her in the bargin bin at one store.

Well this review is a little early, but I'm giving up anime for Lent this year so I won't be watching anymore episodes for awhile.  Once again another season of slim pickings.  Most of the series this season were drowning in fanservice or were just plain bad.
