TV commentary:

Legacies- ARGH!! Are you freaking kidding me!?! Anyways, so Triad invades the school, having shut down everyone's powers. We found out later they used a failsafe Alaric has installed, a Traveller object he installed in a secret tunnel in the school. Which he unfortunately shared with concerned parents, including Mrs. G. Whoops!

Anyways, the heroes prevail. But not before Josie gets shot protecting Lizzie. (who in turn was trying to sacrifice herself since she thought she was destined to lose the merge anyways) But she's fine, she's cured with Hope's blood. Which, she doesn't turn into a heretic this ep, but she may next ep thanks to another big plot occurrence, but more on that later.

It was pretty obvious from last ep when Hope said that ring could turn Raf into a wolf, and Hope would need to turn him back, that something was going to happen with that. He turns into a wolf to help round up the Triad guys, with Nia petrifying the dick who shot Josie. Kaleb is all ready to smash the statue, but MG says they have to be better than that, that some of these guys are prolly just acting out of fear. So they should show mercy, and be better than the monster these guys think they are.

But yeah, Hope goes to rescue Landon, but is unable to stop Clarke from throwing the last key in the pit. As I suspected the photo of the object he left behind was a trick to distract his employers, the object was in a Triad warehouse not the school. Landon brings him the final object, but his brother knows he's trying to trick him and that he would never bring him the real final key. And unfortunately for Landon, he may have purposely tried to just give Clarke a fake object, Clarke lets his little brother know, the last two times he got an object it was subconscious. As such, Landon would have grabbed the object already, and he learns he did.

So yeah, Clarke gives it to the monster of the week, a headless horseman. Like I said, Hope stops it, and while she and Landon are being lovey-dovey, Clarke sneaks up and tosses the object in. Landon kills his brother (temporarily) gives her the 411 on his history and the creation of Malivore. And so Hope figures out what she needs to do. She snaps Landon's neck so he can't stop her, then calls Ric and tells her her plan- to jump in the pit to destroy Malivore, even though it will erase her.

She wants him to burn all her stuff so they won't remember her and be sad. And also to leave himself a note to find Landon at Ft. Valley. Hey, maybe you should have reminded him they need to turn Raf back into a person and that Josie has vampire blood in her. (Which, this seems like a total set up for her to turn next season, since she doesn't know she has that in her and might accidentally die and turn into a heretic)

She hangs up and readies to throw herself in. Clarke wakes up at this point, and is like, cool, do it. He only consented to free his dad out of fear, but if she could destroy Malivore, more power to her. Only, she's not going to let him live after all he's done. So she casts a spell to control him and throw him in the pit along with her.

So everyone forgets her, and its super friggin annoying that I have to wait several months to see what happens. I mean, having Alaric destroy her stuff was super dumb anyways. Like he conveniently forgets right after burning all the evidence of her. But he knows he burned something. Same with Landon, he doesn't know what happened, but he woke up with someone's phone next to him. So its not really giving them comfort. Sure, they might not know to grieve her exactly, but they do no something is off. So thanks for giving them this nagging feeling to obsess over!!

Hopefully (no pun intended!) it won't take too long for her to come back next season. (And she better be back next season!) But I did someone give an interesting theory- Alaric burned all records of her. BUT! Josie has the master notebook that has everything anyone ever wrote with Penelope's magic pens. So, there might be copies of her existence in there.

Oh, one big thing I forgot to mention, when magic got cut off, it uncloaked a box in Alaric's office, which the twins grab. Josie busts the lock open later and finds.. the Ascendant!! So looks like the girls may accidentally being letting Uncle Kai out next season.
