More Rogue One commentary: So I've seen some people complaining about a certain dialogue exchange that they feel doesn't make sense in A New Hope. So the conversation they're referring to is this:

Vader: You weren't on any mercy mission this time. Several transmissions were beamed to this ship by Rebel spies. I want to know what happened to the plans they sent you.

Leia: I don't know what you're talking about. I'm a member of the Imperial Senate on a diplomatic mission to Alderaan.

So the first nit pick they have is the plans were beamed to that particular ship line, Vader saw someone hand the plans to someone else. But whatever, close enough, excuse them for not fitting it perfectly after 40 years.

The second nit pick is they're all, "Leia, Vader saw your ship leave, why you lyin?" Well for one thing, Vader saw a CR90 corvette leave and light speed away. Who's to say it was Leia's ship, its a common starship model. What do they want, for Leia to be all, "Yep, you got me!" Of course she's going to continue to deny it!

And like I said, the ship sped away. Presumably Vader's star destroyer eventually picked it up again over Tantooine and chased it down. I don't think they chased the ship all the way from Scarif. Like, they lost sight of it at some point. So Leia trying to claim it was a different ship isn't that outlandish!
