TV commentary:

Scream- I am disappoint!!! But not surprised. I was hoping they'd address Audrey's confession to Emma about how she was in love with her back in the day, but they pretty much ignored it this ep.

So in the aftermath of Noah's murder, he wants to end the Morgue podcast and take down the murder board and stop being obsessed with slasher stuff. So when the gang (interestingly enough Brooke seems to be back on good terms with Audrey) visits him, he tells them to take the murder board down. Emma, Audrey, and Kieran do that while Brooke goes back to the hotel- apparently that's where Stavo has been the whole time, effing around with Brooke. But can you blame him?

Brooke decides to go home, while Stavo continues to duck his dad. He does convince Noah to not end the podcast, because people need it to make sense of the cruel world or some such shit. Like Ms Lang finally wakes up, tells the sheriff his son got obsessed with death after seeing Miguel's case files with pics of murder victims and his drawings are just a way of trying to understand the horrific things his father was seeing on the job. She also answers the question of who in town was obsessed with Piper by saying Emma.

Anyways, before he leaves, he gives Noah the comic he'd been working on. And as I type this up right now, I'm starting to think he's not a red herring. Perhaps they are mimicking Scream 1 and the killers are Kieran and Stavo, but more on that later.

While taking down the murder board in Noah's room, Emma sees a pic of Will's funeral... with Eli in the background! Kieran has no idea why Eli would be there, so Eli jumps to the top of their murderer suspicions. Which, given there's still an episode to go, its an obvious red herring. But I'll put my theorizing at the end of my recap.

I mean, Eli's acting pretty shady- Brooke's dad apparently is paying Eli's mom to leave town. When Eli hears about this, he gets really angry saying he has stuff in town he can't leave. And so he breaks into the Maddox home, and steals files from the Mayor's office implicating him in real estate shenanigans. We only get an inkling about it, but it perhaps involved the James' farm. Which could explain why the killer, if they have to do with the Jameses have a problem with Mayor Maddox.

When he gets back and tells his mom they have the mayor over the coals, Kieran sneaks in, notices the black mail material on the table, and then goes into Eli's room, with Audrey and Emma on video chat on his phone to see what he's doing. The only time they don't get a clear view is when he lays his phone down on the bed as he tries to reach around Eli's bed to conveniently find Audrey's letters to Emma and the pics of Emma from the pig farm.

Audrey and Emma don't think that's enough evidence, or rather just enough evidence to implicate Audrey, so they tell him to put the letters and pictures back while they go investigate the pig farm. As Kieran returns the letters, he is unaware of Eli spotting him in his room.

But so begins things going all to shit. While Audrey and Emma head to the farm to investigate, Noah makes a new podcast. Only when he tries to upload it, his computer is hijacked and a video is uploaded instead. One that totally make it look like Audrey and Emma are the killers- Audrey standing over Jake's body to remove the pins, excerpts from Emma telling Lang about her disturbing dreams and being in the hotel room with the Eddie dead in the bath tub, etc. So people are in a tizzy (Brooke is pretty upset of the image of Audrey with Jake's body) but Kieran told Maggie that Emma and Audrey are going to the farm, so she and Miguel and some other cops head up there.

Meanwhile, someone calls the mayor luring him to the pig farm under the guise of settling things with the stolen files. Of course, the killer fatally stabs the Mayor with a pitchfork, and Emma and Audrey find his dying body in the barn, getting the mayor's blood all over their hands trying to stem the bleeding. They then hear something, and arm themselves, Emma with the weapon that was just used to kill Brooke's dad. So you see where this is going. They bump into the cops, who see them bloody and holding weapons over the body of the dead mayor.

So they're arrested! I mean, Miguel seems to realize its a frame up, but with so many other people around who are convinced Emma and Audrey are guilty (the evidence is pretty damning), he has no choice. He does tell Maggie to get them a good lawyer, and the ep ends with Emma and Audrey being driven off in the back of a random squad car.

Anyhoo, onto my theories. First off, again, Eli is way too obvious to be the killer. I think the reason he was around is that he was checking up on Kieran, who I say is one of the killers. Don't forget, he was shady as shit last season. Admittedly, he was too obvious to be the actual killer. But the only other reason he stopped being suspicious was because Piper was revealed as the killer. And the season ended with Audrey burning the letters from Piper. So since he wasn't the killer, and Audrey became ultra suspicious, there was no reason to think he was involved even though he has big question marks all around him. But he was prolly the other accomplice.

But yeah, him conveniently showing up after the killer disappears? He also could've tied himself up in the funhouse as a great way to allay suspicions. And conveniently the girls view is blocked when he "finds" the evidence behind Eli's bed? I think Eli was less, "Kieran found me out!" and more "What the hell is that a-hole doing rooting around my bed!"

Also, Haley's mystery man seems like someone connected to the gang, because she was smug about it at the party. Like she knew someone was putting something over them. And the only dude who fits the bill is Kieran, because Noah was with Zoe.

But yeah, I think he teamed up with Stavo. I don't know what Kieran's connection to the James family is, but we do know Miguel helped Maggie with Brandon. As I said earlier in the season, Stavo seemed too much of a red herring. But then he drops off the radar for a few eps at the same time we find out Miguel and Maggie knew Brandon was still alive when they were teens. And they made it a point before to say Noah is unhackable a few eps ago. While its possible the writers forgot that and just had the killer conveniently able to hack his computer, don't forget he just uploaded a file to his laptop from Stavo. Which could've been a trojan that caused the video to upload when Noah tried to upload his podcast.

And honestly, while she's prolly upset at Audrey for hiding Jake's death, this season she's been kinda separate from the rest, so having Stavo be one of the killers brings her back in the thick of things.

I compare this to the first Scream, because I suspect Kieran has some unknown connection and is the main girl's love interest like Skeet Ulrich, and he gets Stavo to help him, Stavo being a disturbed individual along for the ride like Matthew Lillard. But I could be totally off, and the real twist is Eli seems such a red herring that him being the killer would actually be shocking.
