TV commentary:

Doctor Who- I can see both sides of the issue. As the Doctor said, the whole moon thing was one of those special points in time. So I don't think he was lying when he said he didn't know what was going to happen, even though Clara thinks he might be. But yeah, its a little like the Prime Directive. He can't just make humanity's decision for it. Particularly one that would have such a huge impact on the race. If someone's going to make that decision, it should be a human.

But at the same time, he could've been a little nicer about it. I don't think he did a good job of impressing the whole, they should decide because its not his place. Because he was coming off as an asshole. So all Clara could see was this guy who seems to help humanity all these other times, but all of a sudden, now he's taking a step back? All, I'll see you when you figure this out.

But heh, I like how Danny was all, she's not done with him, because if she really was, she wouldn't be so angry. Of course, since the Doctor's the one with the time machine and she told him to never come back, that ball's more in his court. So if he believed she never wanted to see him again, then he might never come back and they really are done.

OUAT- Ha, interesting history there. Apparently Anna met David back when he was still a farmer. Apparently David's father (real father? I can't remember if his parents are his real parents, and they gave one son to King George, or vice versa, or if neither are his real parents, and whoever was gave one son to King George and the other to Ruth and her husband) was a drunk who died in a cart accident, so back then David was all about just surviving because there are some battles you just can't win, just like his father couldn't beat alcoholism.

But yeah, apparently David knew Kristoff, and told Anna she was someone he could trust. Well, to have a place to stay. She's still mum on the secret mission. She doesn't even tell him her real name- she uses "Joan", I guess as a reference to that one line from the movie. But yeah, apparently in OUAT, Bo Peep is a cockney sounding warlord. Which I thought was kinda hilarious. So she shows up demanding money from David, else they become her slaves. Anna wants him to fight, and teaches him swordplay. But he's still a negative nancy and thinks its impossible.

Until Bo kidnaps Anna. So he valiantly rescues her, overthrows Bo Peep (where is this army of hers? Or was coward David thinking 2 dudes is an army) and Ruth secretly points her in the direction of Rumpelstiltskin. In any case, I like OUAT's version of Anna, she's cute. Not just looks wise, she has a cute personality as well. So I like her friendship with David.

In the future, Elsa freezes the town border so no one can get out. She wants to hold them hostage until she gets her sister back. It accidentally takes out the power. Which leads to an interesting side plot- so apparently since Snow cast the curse, she's the mayor now, particularly since Regina doesn't want it. So she has to deal with getting the power back. That and everyone complaining about not being able to surf the web or use their coffee makers and all that. Heh, she kinda snaps at them, all, they lived so long without electricity, and also saying, "I know now why Regina was evil, because of you ingrates!" HA!

Anyways, Charming and his daughter investigate, and of course Hook's there, because he follows Emma like a little puppy. So they confront Elsa, and she accidentally freaks out and traps herself and Emma in an ice cave where Emma almost freezes to death. Lucky for her David knew Anna. So, he gives Elsa a pep talk all, "your sister may not be here right now, but she wouldn't want you to give up!" And so she is able unfreeze the ice walls and get out. Just about the same time Snow gets the power working so Emma can warm by a space heater.

They do have a plan though. Since Bo had marked Anna with her crook once, David and Hook strongarm the crook away from her (she's apparently the town butcher) to try and find Anna. They don't find her location, but they do at least know she's still alive.

David says they will help her, because family never gives up and all that jazz. Which inspires Henry to confront Regina, because she was telling Henry to stay away because she's all sad and she thinks it will be best for him if she stays away. That of course, is bullshit, and he tells her do, and they have a tearful reunion at the end.

In the end, Elsa tries to unfreeze the wall, but she can't. And she's confused because she thinks she's the only one with ice powers. Which of course means she isn't. And hey, its Juliet from Lost! She runs the ice cream shop and also has ice powers. (And is it me, or did she seem all kinds of sexy cute eating the ice cream off her finger and leaning against the wall freezing it?) I hear she's supposed to be the Snow Queen? What's her relation to Elsa? I guess we'll find out next week.

once upon a time, tv, doctor who
