WCIA: Comcast - Take Action

Apr 27, 2010 14:12

So the verdict came in yesterday that Comcast is the worst company in America (WCIA) for 2010. I don't use Comcast, but from what I hear from their customers, it really does suck. The problem I see is that Comcast won't likely do something about it. They issued the usual corporate, "Yes, we suck, but we're pretending to do something about it," response.

If you ask me, the only way they're going to do something about it is if people stop letting Comcast issue them a horribly slow murder with the extremely inefficient weapon. Their customers would have to stage a subscription protest. Designate a month and have as many Comcast customers as possible cancel their subscriptions for a month or more.

Comcast won't listen to protests as long as the protest sounds like, "We hate the service you provide, but we need our TV and our Internet so we're staying." It's like a parent-child relationship. The parent isn't going to change on the account of your pouting. If you hate it so much, but you don't put your money where your mouth is then nothing is going to change. In addition to making Comcast wake up, such a protest will certainly be a life-changing experience for anyone who gets involved. You might have to pay your bills via postal service, but you'll have a few extra dollars to compensate for that and whatever you do to fill the gaps of time you previously wasted on the Internet and television.
