Things are awesome right now

Work is going great. It is exactly what I wanted, where I wanted it and with people that I adore. I basically took over my Aunt's job. She got promoted to work in the office, so I get to see her almost every day which is awesome because in the past we haven't really had a relationship. It is really nice to be around her. My co-workers are amazing. We keep each other laughing on a regular basis and I don't think there is ever a serious moment at work. Hell, it doesn't even feel like work. It's fun! I get to play with over 50 kids every day. Craft, play games, computers, fun outside, capture the flag. Things are awesome. The kids can be a real pain sometimes, but they are great and so much fun.

School started today. I'm no longer worried about taking 5 classes and working. I think it will all work out just fine. My only problem is that I don't have to be at work until 1:30, so I can putz around all morning, which I usually do. However, now I have to get up and work on homework. Taking 3 online classes is going to be a breeze. And there is only one quiz a week per class so I'm not too worried. My first lecture class is tomorrow morning. It should be okay. And then my other class is Weds night. The only thing is that Mike and I won't really see each other except Tuesday night during the week. We both come and go between work and school. But in two years it will be worth it. We will both have degrees, a bachelors for me and masters for him. We will graduate at the exact same time. It will be awesome.

I signed up for confirmation classes. I have been giving it serious thought ever since Mike and I started dating almost 3 years ago. After mom and dad got divorced I had trouble going back to church. I fell out of touch with my faith, despite mom and I's effort to find a new church. But things never seemed right. But for the past 3 years I have been going to church and hearing the moral lessons that they teach. And now is the time to commit. Mike will be my sponsor and he knows the Deacon really well, so if I have any questions or concerns I know I can go to him. Finding God is a lifelong journey for some people. I am one of those people. I don't expect ot just wake up one morning and know that he exists. For me, it is a life long journey and I probably won't know until I die and stand before him. This is my choice. My choice is to find God and what he means to me.

Other than that, things are fabulous. Our cats keep us busy and constantly like ot try our patience, but we get them back with a squirt gun. On any given day Crispy is soaked from head to toe for getting into trouble. Black cats are crazy! But we love her just the same. And Peanut is so cute that even when he does something he is not supposed to, it is hard to spray him. The wedding planning is going well. I have a pretty good idea of what I am going for, but I still need to pick a color scheme. I was thinking yellows, oranges, and reds, a warm kind of feel, but then I saw this teal/turquoise color that I love, so who knows. It is two years away. I just can't wait for Becky to come home from her trip so that we can talk about it! I miss her so much when she is not around! Anyways, Mike is at class so the house is really quiet. Time to go watch more TV, and do some chores. I'm happy and life could not be better.
