I love his lighting and considering he worked on Xena and Hercules, it makes more sense. I often felt that it had a deep richness to it.

However, they really need to get over the film thing. It's a lot cheaper and faster to use digital. Plus you would get the rushes back right away.

WOW. Thank you for posting this. I graduated with my degree in film last spring, and I thought I left a lot of that behind but I can't believe this article (or film stock) could bring me so much late night joy. :D :D :D

ETA: I just checked, and I realize that I shot my thesis film on some of this same stock (7219 16mm)! This brings me so much unexpected joy.
