I wouldn't say the costume was intricate but it should be hand washable.
It also means they are not going to take The Tempest on tour if they are getting rid of costumes. :(

Agreed. This was brilliant on the Globe's part. Auction off part of the costume of the show's biggest draw? (or at least the draw with the most active fans...)
