The Season of Plenty had a supernatural feel to it and none was more magical than The Tempest.
Colin Morgan, who won critical acclaim for his portrayal of the otherworldly sprite, Ariel has kindly given his permission to auction the spectacular and intricately designed top from the costume he wore for this part. Ordinarily our costumes are carefully archived after their time on the stage so this is an extremely rare opportunity to own a piece of Globe history.
It is rather fitting that we are able to offer this particular piece of costume as it is thought that The Tempest was originally written for an indoor space - and of course it is the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse that the money raised from the Gala will support.
