State Fair time once again and for the fourth year running I'm working with Tom Thumb Donuts, pumping out the dough for their yummy mini donuts. This year though I didn't travel the road with them all of August doing various county fairs - just the big one for me this year. So anyone who is still planning on going to the State Fair should totally stop by the Tom Thumb stand next to the Kidway between 4 o'clock and midnight and see me. I'll be in the kitchen most of the time and may not immediately see you but just ask for me or yell at me through the door.
My help in the kitchen this year is an interesting fellow by the name of Martin who loves pumping the rap and hip-hop music on his radio, insists on calling me 'G-Mix' and has decided that his rapper name is to be 'Little Too Big'. He's a pretty nice guy though and works well enough. Since I'm the senior guy on the kitchen and it's his first year I've been told to boss him around although I find it a little bit difficult - I figure I'm just too nice a guy. I'll have to work on my mean streak . . .
The other employees there are great and the manager of the Kidway stand likes to make sure that at least 80% of them are girls (Girls are just better workers, he says). Anyways, visitors are still VERY welcome especially during the week when it's really slow. And there may just be some free mini donuts for those who stop and say hi.
Thanks to those who've already stopped by!
