The strangest thing happened to me this afternoon. I was working at VIS on some computers, when all of the sudden lightning strikes the library power line, which in turn made the electricity flicker. For some reason, it set off the fire alarm throughout the whole building. Mike (my boss), Carrie (co-worker), and I went out to ask the different library workers what we should do. At first all of the other library workers were saying that we should stick around, and then all of a sudden they get a call from the library Dean saying we should evacuate. After hearing this I told Mike and Carrie that we should leave. We left the library and went outside to meet with other people who evacuated. Cops and fire trucks were all over the place.
While I was outside this REALLY CUTE girl comes up to me and starts telling me her story about this fire and how she was concerned. I talked to her for a while but for some reason I was to busy being the curious me. I have this strange obsession that makes me want to figure out why things happen the way they do. Possibly this is thanks to many physics classes. I just kept staring at the library trying to figure out where the fire was coming from. Subconsciously I knew that this girl was interested in me but I couldn't keep my curious side at bay to talk to her. She left after a while, and I began to kick myself for not paying attention as much as I should have. Carrie came up to me afterwards and said that she noticed that the girl was flirting with me. If I see her again, I'm going to talk to her.
Now it's time for me to curse randomly on my LJ: DAMN YOU ROCK EM' SOCK EM' ROBOTS!!!! WHY CAN'T WE ALL JUST GET ALONG!!!!!! *shakes fist at sky*
On the brighter side, no one was hurt, and there was no fire found within the building. The police turned off the alarms and everything went back to normal.
